Report says drugs seized during Ray County traffic stop

RAY COUNTY, Mo. – A Richmond man was jailed after a traffic stop in Ray County early Saturday morning.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol arrest report,   Derek J. Legate, 22, was stopped around 3:15 this morning for no license plate light and found not wearing a seat belt and having no insurance. The report alleges Legate was in felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Legate was placed on a 24 hour hold at the county jail.
