Residence Burns in Chillicothe

A one story structure fire put Chillicothe Fire Crews to work Friday night in the 500 block of Walnut Street about 11:35.

According to the report from Chief Darrell Wright, once on scene crews saw smoke coming from the structure and observed the occupants on the sidewalk and it was reported all parties made it out safe. Crews went to work and after approximately two hours, the fire was out and crews returned to their stations.

There were no injuries reported. Damages were estimated to total $35,000.
