Resident smelled smoke before fire near Kingston

CALDWELL COUNTY, Mo. –¬†Firefighters from Polo and Hamilton were called this morning, to provide mutual aid to the Kingston Fire Department.

Kingston was sent to a report of a structure fire, shortly after 2:00 in the morning. The building is located in the 2000 block of Southwest Route D, South of Route HH in Caldwell County. A resident called to say she smelled smoke in the house.

The first truck on scene reported the roof was on fire.
