Residents of North Carolina, Pennsylvania accused of drug possession in Saline County

SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — Two out-of-state residents were detained on drug charges Thursday morning in Saline County.

According to an arrest report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, officers arrested the pair at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Saline County.

24-year-old Thomas M. Hamilton, of Sylva, North Carolina is accused of felony possession of marijuana edibles, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A second subject, Gerald A. Anderson, 61, of Centerville, Pennsylvania, faces felony charges for possession of marijuana edibles and possession of psilocybin mushrooms. In addition, two misdemeanor counts for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were levied against Anderson.

Both men were processed and released pending the filing of formal charges.
