A Ray county community is accepting applications for the Citizen’s Academy.  Richmond City Administrator Ron Brohammer says this will be the second time they’ve offered the bi-weekly program.

“Its a series of five class sessions that meet for four hours on alternating Saturdays starting on the 19th of January.  We go through with the people who are attending, how the city is structured, and how our finances work and a little bit of leadership training and conflict management training and it’s just a really good program that we’ve started.”

Brohammer says the course is open to everyone but pre-registration is required.

“We’ve sent out some letters of invitation and just general notices that it’s really open to anybody that would like to attend.”

For additional information and to register contact the Richmond City Hall.  It’s located at 205 Summit St. or call 816-776-5304.
