Richmond Man Sentenced to Ten Years

One man who had originally been accused of taking part in the May 2012 strangling death of Michelle Rheuport, 40, pleaded guilty to lesser charges on September 16th. He was sentenced Thursday.

James Gant, 25, admitted in Ray County Court to one count of burglary and one count of theft of a controlled substance.

Gant went before Judge Larry Harman who sentenced Gant to five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for second degree burglary and an additional five years for theft of controlled substances.

The sentences are to run consecutively.
