Brohammer said the purpose is to make the existing policy a code. The policy of having the owner pay for water lost when a private fire connection breaks or leaks has been in place for years, but Brohammer said this ordinance will put it in writing. They will start off Tuesday’s meeting with a public hearing at 5:00 p.m. regarding the budget. If no major issues are brought forward, Council will adopt the budget during regular session, which starts at 6:30 p.m.
