Richmond Teen Admits Guilt in Crash

The driver in a 2011 wreck that injured a pair of Carrollton teens has pleaded guilty Wednesday to the charges against him. Ryan Silkwood, 19, who is listed in court documents as a Richmond resident, is accused of driving while intoxicated when he crashed on Route EE in December of 2011. Silkwood and his passenger, Lacey Silkwood, 15, were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries.

Ryan Silkwood was charged this past March in Ray County with felony assault DWI, failure to drive on the right half of a roadway and minor visibly intoxicated.

Silkwood is set for a sentencing hearing on September 4th.
