Press Release from the Missouri Department of Transportation
WARRENSBURG – Route 13 at Routes OO and V north of Warrensburg opens Tuesday morning, August 14, after being closed for less than two weeks for construction of a new roundabout. The roundabout now connects the yet-to-open new east loop of Route 13 with the existing highway to the north and south, and with Routes OO and V to the west and east.
The re-opening comes a day earlier than anticipated, thanks to continuing good construction weather and the contractor’s diligence. Emery Sapp & Sons Inc., Columbia, Mo., is the general contractor for the $10.1 million project. Travelers will pass through the new roundabout on both existing northbound and southbound Route 13 until the new east loop is complete.
