An elementry school dream to own an orchard has become a reality.  KMZU’s Janet Adkison has the story…

A wide variety of agriculture can be found throughout mid-Missouri including row and forage crops, honey, livestock aand even aquaculture.  However something unique to this part of the Show Me are fruit trees.  Just on the southside of Highway 24 at the peak of a hill top west of Waverly is the historic Schreiman Orchards.  You might consider John Christopherson new to the business but he’s had a hand working the fields and orchards for a long time..

John Christopherson purchased the market four years ago.

The history of the business dates back severl decades (note the phone number)

Christopherson purchased the market from Jim and Judy Marshall four years ago but the name of the business and its well respected past have remained intact through several decades…

It's expected that peaches will be available through early August. Apples will be mautring by that time too.
