Sale of Champions

The annual Sale of Champions took place Saturday afternoon at the Missouri State Fair.   Committee member Rodney Heimer says  much of the income is used to award scholarships.  The champion steer and the champion market hog each brought $19,000.  The champion lamb went for $14,000.  Champion meat goat was $5,500 and both the champion pen of rabbits and champion pen of chickens went for $2,200.  More information is available at www.mostatefair.com.
