Late last week the Saline County Sheriff’s office was contacted by a resident in the 200 block of North Leonard in Mt. Leonard Missouri. The caller said that a group of people were arguing and threatening her daughter. Once a deputy was on scene the reporting party said the group started the verbal confrontation after they were told to stop speeding up and down the street. After making contact with several witnesses the officers learned that Amber Marie Vaught, 33, of Malta Bend allegedly dropped her pants and made a lewd suggestion to the family while her buttocks was exposed. According to the report a 12-year-old juvenile witnessed the act. After Vaught reported to the sheriff’s office she gave a statement in which she admitted to the confrontation and exposing herself. Vaught claimed she was unaware of a minor being present. She was arrested and is charged with one count of sexual misconduct involving a child and four counts of sexual misconduct. Vaught was booked and released and a report has been sent to the county prosecutor.
