A two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in Chariton County sent a Salisbury resident to the hospital.  The crash occurred at 4:10 p.m. on Highway 129, about three miles north of Salisbury.  The Highway Patrol reports Tina Taylor, 47, of New Cambria, was northbound when she attempted to pass a vehicle being driven by Barbara Binder, 68, of Salisbury, who was making a left-hand turn. Taylor struck the Binder vehicle in the driver’s side.

Binder was transported by air ambulance to University Hospital with moderate injuries.  Taylor was not hurt.  She’s facing charges that include driving on the left side of the roadway when view was obstructed by a hill and driving while suspended.  Taylor was transported to the Chariton County jail.
