Second Harvest Needs Your Help

The Second Harvest Community Food Bank of St. Joseph is in the middle of their Food for Justice Movement, the annual fund raising drive collecting donations to help fight hunger in local and surrounding communities. In fact just one dollar provides up to three meals. Chad Higdon, Interim Executive Director with Second Harvest, talks about where the program is related to its fundraising goal.

Higdon also says even though they are based in St. Joseph this annual fundraising drive is for surrounding communities in Missouri as well as Kansas.

Higdon adds that not only are they asking for donations but also raising awareness on how everyone can be part of the solution to end hunger. Donations will be accepted through April 12th; if you wish to contribute or volunteer, log onto the Second Harvest Website.
