Since his employment began, the district’s attendance, athlete academic achievement, and valedictorian policies have been overhauled.  Lorenz said he feels he has helped the district realize that everyone needs to be more accountable for their success.

“In this day, in this age, the accountability piece has risen to the point where everybody from the students, to the teachers, to the parents, to the administration, everyone has to take a more active role, and I see out students responding,” said Lorenz, “And you can see that daily in their work.   You can see that in their responsibility to take care of their academic futures.   You can see and feel that.  As an administrator, and as a teacher…that’s kind of what drives us.”
