A meeting of the City Council in Sedalia will take place on Monday evening. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott chat with Sedalia City Administrator Gary Edwards:
“A fair amount of Ohio [Street] in the downtown area has been completed already as a part of the streetscape program,” said Edwards. “This is a continuation of that program and we are calling it phase 3-A, if you want to put a label on it. Basically, it takes care of Ohio street from Broadway back to 7th Street.”
Edwards says that the project will not cost tax payers any more money because the work was already included in the 2013 budget.
“It’s going to be [completed] some time this calendar year,” Edwards added. “That would probably take us into the fall, but I don’t have an exact date or an exact time.”
Edwards said Council would look at a bid for a side walk, but that he expects it to be rejected because the bid is too costly.
Officials in Sedalia will meet in the Municipal Building at 7:00 on Monday evening.
