The City Council in Sedalia will meet Tuesday evening. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott talk to City Administrator Gary Edwards:
A primary focus of the work session will be a review of the fiscal year 2014 budget. “The budget is something we’re struggling with at this point, as many cities are, because we are anticipating less revenue than what has been the case in the past, ” said Edwards, “We now have to make adjustments for that decrease in revenue. We will come out okay, we just have fewer dollars to work with.”
There will also be discussion of an item that was recently the focus of a public hearing. “The council is acting on an ordinance for annexation on this particular piece of property near the intersection of Highway 50 and Main Street near Maynard, “said Edwards, “This will include an area on the northwest corner of that intersection.” According to the administrator, there has been no voice of concern over this matter.
The review of an ordinance between the city and Olsson Associates to complete the storm water master plan is also up for discussion.
Council will begin with a work session at 6:00 p.m. followed by the regular agenda at 7:00 p.m.
