PETTIS COUNTY, M0. — A resident of Sedalia is facing multiple sex-related felonies in Pettis County.

Eric Fields, PCSO

A probable cause statement filed in Pettis County accuses Eric W. Fields, 45 of sexually abusing a juvenile male between 2012 and 2014, when the young boy was between the ages of seven and nine.

The allegations were made after the victim came forward and shared his story with police earlier this year.

Court records show that Fields is charged with five felony counts of first degree attempted statutory sodomy – deviate sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 14. He also faces a misdemeanor pornography charge.

He is currently held at the Pettis County Jail on $250,000 bond, cash or surety allowed.

Fields was arraigned Tuesday and had his case continued to next week. Fields will next go before a judge in Pettis County for a hearing on Tuesday, July 24 at 1:30 p.m.
