Sedalia Man, Eleven Others Face Federal Charges

A Sedalia man along with 11 others; mainly from the Kansas City area, have been arrested and indicted by Federal Grand Jury for unemployment fraud.

Each defendant is charged with one count of theft of government property and one count of bank fraud. There are no connections, these are individual cases.

David Pummill, Jr., 32 of Sedalia, Mo., 43-year-old Ramon A. Matos of Independence, Mo. and Ryan S. Thrasher, 34 of Blue Springs, Mo. were part of the 24-count indictment unsealed in federal Court Wednesday.

Each defendant, allegedly collected unemployment benefits while employed, some collecting upwards of over $23,700.
