Sedalia Police issues PSA in regards to recent influx of counterfeit bills

SEDALIA, Mo.- The Sedalia Police Department has issued a public service announcement in regards to a recent influx of counterfeit bills in the area.

According to a post on their Facebook page, counterfeit bills discovered included $20, $50 and $100 bills. The bills that are being passed have what appears to be Chinese writing located on both the front and back of the notes. They also appear to have lines across one of the corners of the bill both front and back.

The bills are not legal tender and it is a crime to pass one as such.
