A Sedalia teen facing several charges in Pettis County has been granted a change of venue. The attorneys for Sarandon A. Staten, 18, made the request, which was granted this week during a court appearance. Staten is charged with first-degree assault, two counts of discharging a firearm at or from a motor vehicle, and three counts of armed criminal action. His next court date is now in Cooper County on June 10th at 9 a.m. Staten continues to be held on $1-million dollars bond. His attorneys have repeatedly requested a reduction in bond and all those motions have been denied.
