Sedalia Sees Influx of Katy Trail Riders

The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office is reminding residents in Sedalia that over 350 bicyclists taking part in the DNR sponsored Katy Trail Ride are in town and asked all citizens to use caution driving and welcome the cyclists. They will be spending the night in the Sedalia before carrying on their journey Friday morning.

The DNR/Missouri Parks sponsored Katy Trail Ride participants will be arriving in Pettis County and Sedalia this morning from Boonville. This event usually attracts 350 +/- bicycle riders plus many additional members of their support staff. Sedalia is an overnight destination so you will see lots of bicyclist throughout our community. Please be cautious, welcoming and share the road with these visitors to our county.
