The Katy Depot in Sedalia will host the State Traveling Exhibit on Missouri in the Civil War.  Spokesperson Kathleen Boswell says the display is on sight and will be available for the public Tuesday (Dec. 11).

“It really talks about how the war started in Missouri much earlier than 1861, and how we were really a state divided”  she says.

The presentation is more than a walk through exhibit.

“There are also four computer units that are interactive where people can sit down and punch in their zip code and see exactly what went on in their area as far as battles and things.”  Boswell says “there’s enough things that younger children can enjoy it but then the adults are going to be the kind that go in and read every word.”

The free history lesson will be set up in the north end of the building through mid-February.
