Semi rear ends vehicle in Caldwell County and injures two

CALDWELL COUNTY, Mo.- Two Lathrop, Mo., women were reportedly injured after being rear ended by a semi-truck in Caldwell County this morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Caldwell County Sheriff’s responded to the call on eastbound US-36 just west of Hamilton, Mo., at approximately 10:30 a.m. According to the filed accident report, Parmjeet Cheema, 30, of Canada, was following a vehicle traveling eastbound and when Marilyn Weimer, 75, of Gower, Mo., slowed to make a right turn, the semi struck the back of her vehicle.

Rose Maples, 86, sustained minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene. Another occupant of Weimer’s vehicle, Barbara Schwery, 76, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
