Sen. Pearce Talks State Budget

The deadline for the Missouri State Budget for 2013-14 is May 10th, a week before this year’s General Assembly convenes the session. Senator David Pearce of Warrensburg says there are just a few items to be smoothed out by the deadline and he is also glad to add an increase to some state worker’s wages.

Among other budget moves, funding for elementary and secondary education was increased and tax revenue from this past fiscal year is more than what was projected which bodes well for future state revenues.
