Sheriff Considers Submitting Case to Federal Authorities

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has identified those allegedly responsible for at least two home burglaries that occurred within the last week.  The suspect or suspects took more than a dozen firearms from two residences in the northwest portion of the county, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

Sheriff Steve Cox said they are strongly considering turning the information over to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for further action.  Five rifles, a compound bow, five shotguns, two muzzle loaders, and a handgun were taken during the most recent break-in.  The total number of firearms and weapons taken between the two burglaries has not been released.
