Sheriff’s Office Reminds Hunters Proper Disposal Procedures
Hunters are being reminded of the proper ways to dispose of harvested wildlife after Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies made a disturbing discovery over opening weekend. According to a report from the sheriff’s office, several dead dear were found in a creek northeast of Chillicothe. Sheriff Steve Cox points out that it is a criminal violation to dump animal carcases in a body of water. Cox is asking hunters to donate unwanted venison to the “Share the Harvest” program.
