CARROLLTON, MO – City council members in Carrollton finished a quick public session before moving into a closed session yesterday.
During that brief time council gave authorization for approval of a regular police grant from the State Department of Public Safety. Police will purchase 6 ballistic vests with the grant. A budget abatement resolution cleaned up certain items in the 2018 budget.
In the mayor’s report, it was noted that a long-awaited recycling trailer is now available for use by citizens. A list of approved items is posted on the trailer. Those premises at City Hall will also be monitored by video cameras.
During reports, council at large, Scarlet Horine, voiced concern that certain residences were not in compliance with an ordinance establishing numbering for houses. She said first responders rely on the numbers when called into service.
