Shot Rings Out in Hardin

On the heels of a rumor about a sexual assault that allegedly took place at Hardin High School in early December, a fatal shooting  Thursday night has once again left the town with more questions than answers.  A number of agencies responded to the 100 block of East Main Street shortly after 6:00 p.m.  Click to hear Hardin Police Officer David Shepherdson:

Hardin PD along with the help of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control continue to investigate.  The identity or age of the victim has not been released at this time.  The shooting comes as allegations of a sexual assault at the High School continue to circulate.  Shepherdson would not comment on the relationship between the two events.  Charges have yet to be filed in the alleged assault.
