Slater Man Pleads Guilty
A Slater resident pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of assault and one count of armed criminal action. Damien Riley, 32, admitted to entering a Marshall residence and hitting two people with a crow bar. He was sentenced to seven years in the Department of Corrections. Another person allegedly involved in the case is scheduled for a Jury Trial in March. Irvin Riley, 47, is charged with two counts of assault, two counts of armed criminal action, burglary, and unlawful use of a weapon.
