Softball coach accused of child molestation posts bond

HENRY COUNTY, Mo. — A former Windsor softball coach accused of statutory sodomy bonded out of jail in Henry County.

According to court records filed Wednesday, 43-year-old Christopher Hidy was charged with three counts attempted statutory sodomy described in a probable cause statement as inappropriate touching.

Authorities allege that Hidy made sexual advances towards at least two members of a softball team he was coaching following a pool party and during sleepover at his residence.

Additional charges were listed, including child molestation and tampering with a victim in a felony prosecution. The court allowed 10 percent of $100,000 to be posted.

A preliminary hearing is still scheduled for Friday, October 26.
