Speed a factor in Saline County crash

SALINE COUNTY, Mo. – A Grandview driver suffered minor injuries when he rear ended another vehicle in Saline County Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report, Marlon Tucker, 33, exited westbound Interstate 70 at the ramp to Highway 127, around 5:25 yesterday afternoon. The report says Tucker was driving too fast when he ran into the rear of a vehicle stopped at the stop sign to Highway 127. Tucker was transported to I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs for treatment. No injuries were reported for the other driver, Darlene Vogelsmeier, 79, of Marshall.

Tucker is now jailed for allegations of felony tampering with a vehicle, driving while intoxicated, possession of stolen license plates, careless driving causing an accident, no seat belt and no drivers license.
