Speeding Accident Injures Lexington Man

A Lexington man was hurt in an accident in Lafayette County Thursday night. The Highway Patrol reports Jason Cline, 21, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he entered the intersection of Highway 24 and Howe Road. He was unable to stop and collided with another vehicle driven by William Hughes, 40, of Wellington. Cline was moderately injured and taken to Centerpoint Hospital.  He is now facing charges of felony driving while intoxicated as well as careless and imprudent driving – resulting in an accident.
