Luis Mendoza will take the mound for the Royals, and J.A. Happ will start the game for Toronto. The Royals have an early-season lead in the American League Central.

ST. LOUIS (AP) – St. Louis Cardinals rookie Matt Adams continues to rack up the hits early in the season. The backup first baseman is hitting .643 with two home runs and seven RBIs. Adams and the Cardinals face the Milwaukee Brewers today.

(Kansas City, MO) — The Kansas City premiere of the new Jackie Robinson movie “42,” attracts Hall of Fame baseball players and Hollywood actors to town. Stars Harrison Ford and Chadwick Boseman appeared at the AMC Barry Woods Theater for last night’s screening along with Robinson’s son and current and former Royals players. Ford said Robinson’s career propelled the civil rights movement forward.
