The KMZU Basketball 5th Quarter Show returns tonight starting at 9:30 with interviews of area coaches about this past week’s games and a few interviews from last week focusing on Holiday tournament play. College Basketball
Columbia, Mo. – Mizzou Basketball standouts Laurence Bowers and Phil Pressey were named to the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 list by The Los Angeles Athletic Club this evening.
Selected by the Wooden Award National Advisory Board, the list is made up of 25 student-athletes who, based on their performances in November, December, and the beginning of January, are the frontrunners for college basketball’s most prestigious honor. MLS
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — The home of Sporting Kansas City will host Major League Soccer’s All-Star game this summer. MLS Commissioner Don Garber announced yesterday that Livestrong Sporting Park would hold the July 31st game between MLS All-Stars and an international club still to be determined. The Kansas City area hosted Major League Baseball’s All-Star festivities last year.
