>>Royals Outslug Indians

(Kansas City, MO) — Salvador Perez delivered a pinch-hit, three-run double in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Royals to a 10-7 win over the Indians at Kauffman Stadium. Lorenzo Cain hit a grand slam and Eric Hosmer a two-run shot as KC overcame 5-0 and 7-5 deficits to win the rubber match of the three-game series. Luke Hochevar [[ HO-chay-ver ]] got the win in relief.

>>Gordon To Miss A Few More Days

(Kansas City, MO) — Royals left fielder Alex Gordon is expected to miss at least a few more days after a hard fall on Wednesday. The two-time Gold Glover landed hard on his hip chasing a fly ball and fell back, hitting his head on the outfield chain link fence. Gordon sustained a bruised hip and possible concussion, but is not expected to be placed on the disabled list.

>>Royals Host A’s Tonight

(Kansas City, MO) — The Royals open a three-game series against the A’s tonight at “The K.” Wade Davis starts for KC. He’s 4-and-6 with a 5.55 ERA. Oakland counters with Tommy Milone, who is 7-and-7 with a 4.17 ERA. Milone pitched six innings of one-run ball to beat the Royals 2-1 in Oakland back in May. KC is 40-and-42, five games back of Detroit in the AL Central.

>>Angels Rally Past Wainwright, Cardinals

(Anaheim, CA) — The Angels scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to walk off with a win over the Cardinals at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Adam Wainwright was in line for a win and started the ninth inning but gave way to closer Edward Mujica [[ Moo-hee-cah ]]. Mujica blew his first save of the season and took his first loss. The Cards have lost five of seven and return home to host Miami tonight.

>>All-Star Voting

Voting for the starting lineups for this year’s All-Star Game is over. Balloting ended at 11:59 Eastern last night. The American and National League lineups will be revealed during the 2013 MLB All-Star Game Selection Show tomorrow night on FOX. Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera was leading the majors with more than 5.8-million votes when the most recent tabulations were released earlier this week. St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier [[ YAH-dee-air ]] Molina was pacing the National League with just under 5.1-million votes. Once the starting lineups are announced, fans will have several days to vote for one of five players in each league to fill that team’s final roster spot. The 2013 MLB All-Star Game will be played July 16th at New York’s Citi Field.
