In High School Baseball Thursday, Boonville beat St. Mary’s 6-4 and now will move on the the Final Four in O’Fallon to face Oak Grove for the right to play for the Class 4 State Championship of Missouri.  Westminster and Logan-Rogersville are also in the Final Four.

In Class 1, Dadeville beat Weaubleau Thursday 9-8 and they will play Santa Fe Monday 6 p.m.  Oran and Sturgeon will play before the Chiefs game at 3 p.m. Monday.  The winners of those 2 games play for the Class 1 State Championship.

In College Softball in Columbia, Mizzou needs to win 2 on Friday to move on in the College World Series.  Washington won Game 1 Thursday night 2-1.  The Mizzou ladies play at 5 p.m. Friday and if they win, they will play again at 8 p.m.

Los Angeles hit four home runs Thursday night as the Angels beat the Kansas City Royals 5-4. Mike Trout, Albert Pujols, Mark Trumbo and Chris Iannetta all went deep for the Angels. Salvador Perez and George Kottaras both had RBIs in the bottom of the ninth to pull the Royals within one.

The Cardinals were idle Thursday.  They begin a series in Los Angeles against the Dodgers tonight.
