>>Cardinals Double Up Red Sox In Game Two

(Boston, MA)  —  The Cardinals scored three runs in the seventh inning to double up the Red Sox 4-2 in Game Two of the World Series from Fenway Park.  Carlos Beltran was 2-for-4 with an insurance RBI a day after exiting Game One with a rib injury.  The best-of-seven series is knotted up at 1-1.  Michael Wacha [[ WAH-kuh ]] improved to 4-and-0 during the postseason after giving up two runs in six innings.  Trevor Rosenthal struck out the side in the ninth for the save.  St. Louis hosts Game Three on tomorrow night.

>>Rams Made Inquiry About Brett Favre

(Earth City, MO)  —  The Rams expressed at least mild interest in signing former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre, according to multiple reports.  The Rams wouldn’t comment on the reports. They did work out veteran Tyler Thigpen and signed two other quarterbacks earlier in the week in trying to add depth behind new starter Kellen Clemens.

>>Rams Prepare For Seahawks Monday Night

(St. Louis, MO)  —  The Rams are prepping for the national spotlight in Week Eight.  They play the NFC West rival Seahawks on “Monday Night Football” at the Edward Jones Dome.  The Rams will look to bounce back from Sunday’s 30-15 loss at Carolina that has them back under .500 at 3-and-4.  Seattle leads the division at 6-and-1.  These teams split their two meetings last season.

>>Chiefs Host Browns Sunday

(Kansas City, MO)  —  The Chiefs are putting the final touches on their game plan for Cleveland Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.  KC is the last unbeaten in the NFL this season at 7-and-0 after a 17-16 home win over Houston this past Sunday.  It’s the third straight home game for the Chiefs.  The Browns are 3-and-4, including 1-and-2 on the road.

>>Mizzou, KU, K-State All At Home Tomorrow

(Undated)  —  The Missouri, Kansas and Kansas State football teams are all on their home field tomorrow.  The fifth-ranked Tigers host number-21 South Carolina at 6 p.m.  Mizzou is 7-and-0, while the Gamecocks are 5-and-2.  The 2-and-4 Jayhawks entertain eighth-ranked Baylor at 6 p.m. and the 2-and-4 Wildcats welcome West Virginia at 2:45 p.m.

Tune in Friday for the high school football game of the week on KRLI.  Donn Emis and Mike Stone will be covering the Hardin-Central at Norborne game with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. on 103.9.

We also have the Carrollton at Lafayette County C-1 game on our sister station, the Grenade.  Join Josh Brunscher and Colby Gordon at 7 p.m. Friday on KAOL 1430 AM and 101.3 FM the Grenade.

KMZU will be providing quarter by quarter football score updates throughout the evening.  The station will also have the 5th Quarter Show at about 10 p.m.  All of that is on 100.7 FM.
