>>KRLI and KAOL to Air High School Football Games

Tune in Friday night for the high school football game of the week right on KRLI.  Donn Emis and Mike Stone will be covering the Excelsior Springs at Odessa game with the kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. on 103.9 FM.

We also have the Richmond at Carrollton game on our sister station, the Grenade.  Join Josh Brunscher and Colby Gordon at 7 p.m. on KAOL 1430 AM and 101.3 FM, the Grenade.

KMZU will be providing quarter by quarter football score updates Friday.  The 5th Quarter show starts at 10 p.m. on KMZU 100.7 FM.

>>Chiefs At Titans Sunday

(Nashville, TN)  —  The Chiefs will be in Music City Sunday as they look to keep their perfect record intact.  KC will take on the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.  The Chiefs beat up the Giants 31-7 this past Sunday to improve to 4-and-0 for the first time since winning their first nine games in 2003.  The Titans are 3-and-1 after a 38-13 win over the Jets.

>>Rams’ Running Back Situation Unsettled

(Earth City, MO)  —  The Rams have some questions to answer at running back when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.  Lead back Daryl Richardson tweeted that he isn’t going to start.  On Thursday coach Jeff Fisher said he has not decided who would start.  Richardson, Isaiah Pead, Benny Cunningham and Zac Stacy are in the mix to get snaps and carries.

>>Mizzou, KU, K-State Play Tomorrow

(Undated)  —  Missouri, Kansas and Kansas State all play football games tomorrow.  The 4-and-0 Tigers are on the road against Vanderbilt at 6:30 p.m. in their SEC opener.  The 2-and-1 Jayhawks host 22nd-ranked Texas Tech tomorrow at 11 a.m. in their Big 12 opener.  The 2-and-2 Wildcats play at 2:30 p.m. at 20th-ranked Oklahoma State.

>>KU’s Wiggins Named To Preseason All-Big 12 Team

(Lawrence, KS)  —  Kansas freshman forward Andrew Wiggins is making history.  He’s the first freshman ever to be voted to the preseason All-Big 12 team.  Wiggins was also named preseason Freshman of the Year by the conference coaches.  Oklahoma State sophomore guard Marcus Smart was selected as the preseason Big 12 Player of the Year.

>>Cards Crush Pirates In Game One Of NLDS

(St. Louis, MO)  —  Carlos Beltran belted a three-run homer to jump start a seven-run third inning as the Cardinals crushed the Pirates 9-1 in Game One of the NLDS at Busch Stadium.  David Freese added a two-run single during the big inning for the Redbirds, who took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series.  Adam Wainwright struck out nine over seven innings of one-run, three-hit ball for the win.  Game Two is today.

>>Hollywood Casino 400 Sunday At Kansas Speedway

(Kansas City, KS)  —  NASCAR is coming to Kansas City this weekend.  Kansas Speedway will play host to the Hollywood Casino 400 Sunday at noon.  It’s the fourth in the 10-race season-ending Race for the Sprint Cup championship.  Matt Kenseth leads the points standings with 2,149.  Jimmie Johnson is eight points back in second place.
