LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Marshawn Lynch ran for 131 yards and a touchdown in helping the Seattle Seahawks win their first road playoff game since 1983 by beating Washington 24-14 last night. The Redskins raced out to an early 14-0 lead before the Seahawks rallied by knocking Redskins QB Robert Griffin III out of the game and moving on to play at Atlanta next Sunday.

BALTIMORE (AP) — It was the old-style Baltimore Ravens, who used a suffocating defense to hold Indianapolis to just three field goals in their 24-9 win over the Colts. That means Ray Lewis & Co. are next going to Denver to play Peyton Manning and the top-seeded Broncos, who are riding an 11-game winning streak.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Two sets of grandparents are in a custody battle over the infant daughter of a Kansas City Chiefs player who shot and killed the child’s mother before taking his own life. Jovan Belcher killed Kasandra Perkins last month, then shot himself outside Arrowhead Stadium. The Kansas City Star reports Belcher’s mother and the baby’s maternal grandparents are both seeking custody.
