(Undated) — Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos are no longer unbeaten. Manning’s return to Indianapolis was unsuccessful as the Broncos dropped a 39-33 decision to the Colts, falling to 6-and-1. That leaves the Broncos’ AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs as the NFL’s lone unbeaten team. KC notched a 17-16 win over the Houston Texans to move to 7-and-0. Elsewhere a pair of Florida teams remain winless. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell to 0-and-6 after a 31-23 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The Jacksonville Jaguars are also still in search of a win after dipping to 0-and-7 with Sunday’s 24-6 loss to the San Diego Chargers. The Dallas Cowboys picked up a big NFC East win with a 17-3 triumph over the Philadelphia Eagles while the Pittsburgh Steelers used a last-second field goal to bounce their AFC North rivals, the Baltimore Ravens. Week Seven wraps up tonight as the 0-and-6 New York Giants host the 1-and-4 Minnesota Vikings.

(Charlotte, NC) — Cam Newton threw for 204 yards and a touchdown on 15-of-17 passing as the Panthers topped the Rams 30-15 at Bank of America Stadium. Sam Bradford was 21-of-30 for 255 yards with a TD and an interception before leaving in the fourth quarter with a leg injury. Zac Stacy had 17 carries for 53 yards to go with four catches for 34 yards and a score in defeat. St. Louis slipped to 3-and-4. The Rams host the Seahawks on Monday, October 28th.

(Columbia, MO) — Maty Mauk tossed for 295 yards, a touchdown and an interception as the Missouri Tigers topped the then 22nd-ranked Florida Gators 36-17 at Faurot Field on Saturday. Mauk added 15 yards and a score on the ground while Henry Josey rushed for a game high 136 yards and a TD for Missouri, which improved to 7-and-0 and 3-and-0 in the SEC. Mizzou is fifth in the first BCS Standings. The Tigers host South Carolina this weekend.

(Lawrence, KS) — Kansas jumped out to a 13-0 lead, but fell to Oklahoma, 34-19, on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. James Sims ran for 129 yards and two touchdowns for the Jayhawks, who fell to 2-and-4 and 0-and-3. They host Baylor this weekend.

NEW YORK (AP) – Auburn, Missouri, Baylor and Texas Tech made the biggest jumps in the latest Associated Press college football poll, with Alabama and Oregon remaining one-two. Auburn climbed 13 spots to 11th, Missouri went from 14th to fifth, Baylor moved up six notches to sixth and Tech made a six-spot jump to 10th. Florida State inched up two slots to third following a rout of Clemson.

(Undated) — The matchup for the 2013 World Series is set. The Boston Red Sox will meet the St. Louis Cardinals in a rematch of the 2004 Fall Classic. Boston will host Game One of the best-of-seven series starting Wednesday night at Fenway Park. The Red Sox clinched the ALCS with a 5-2 win over the Detroit Tigers in Game Six on Saturday night. The Cardinals also won the NLCS in six games, notching a 9-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night to clinch. Boston won the World Series matchup with St. Louis in 2004 in a four-game sweep.

TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) — Jimmie Johnson has grabbed the Sprint Cup points lead with four races remaining by finishing 13th at Talladega yesterday. Johnson moved four points ahead of Matt Kenseth, who finished 20th. Jamie McMurray won the race to end his three-year victory drought in Sprint Cup events.
