College Basketball

Despite 18 points from John Taylor (Hendersonville, Tenn.),William Jewell College fell just short against visiting Newman University  86-84, in non-conference men’s basketball action Saturday afternoon in Liberty. The Jets improve to 8-0 on the season, while the Cardinals fall to 3-4.

Jewell resumes play Friday night, December 14 as they play host to Baker University for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
