ST. LOUIS (AP) — Jon Jay, Matt Carpenter, Matt Adams and Carlos Beltran all homered yesterday in the St. Louis Cardinals’ 10-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds. Jake Westbrook allowed just five hits in the complete-game shutout. Reds starter Homer Bailey was rocked for seven runs in five innings.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Billy Butler and Jeff Francoeur homered last night in the Kansas City Royals’ 3-0 win over the Minnesota Twins. Alcides Escobar added an RBI single and Salvador Perez had three hits for Kansas City. Twins starter Liam Hendriks took the loss after giving up one run in five innings.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Missouri point guard Phil Pressey will enter the NBA draft. Pressey is the Tigers’ career leader with 580 assists and broke his own single-season mark with 240 assists last season. He also had a career high with an 11.9-point average per game last season.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Kansas State has rewarded basketball coach Bruce Weber for winning a share of the Big 12 title with a raise and a one-year contract extension. Weber’s salary will increase to $1.75 million next season, and increase by $100,000 each of the remaining years on his original five-year deal. The Wildcats were upset by No. 13 seed La Salle in the NCAA tournament.
