>>Chiefs Host Packers In Preseason Finale

(Kansas City, MO)  —  The Chiefs play their final preseason game tonight at home against Green Bay.  Kickoff at Arrowhead Stadium is set for 7 p.m.  Most starters are expected to see little to no action with the regular season opener just around the corner.  KC beat Pittsburgh 26-20 in overtime last week.  The Chiefs open the season at Jacksonville September 8th.

>>Rams Close Preseason

(St. Louis, MO)  —  The St. Louis Rams end the preseason at home tonight against the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens.  The Rams are 0-and-3 so far on the exhibition slate with losses to Cleveland, Green Bay and Denver.  The regular season begins on September 8th at home against the Arizona Cardinals.

>>Royals Pummel Twins Behind Perez

(Minneapolis, MN)  —  Salvador Perez went 4-for-5 with a pair of two-run homers as the Royals trounced the Twins 8-1 at Target Field.  Alex Gordon also went deep for KC, which has won four in a row since a seven-game losing streak.  Danny Duffy struck out seven while allowing just five hits and no walks over six-and-two-thirds innings for his second win.  The Royals and Twins wrap up their three-game set this afternoon at Target Field.  Bruce Chen gets the start for KC.  Samuel Deduno [[ den-DOO-noh ]] takes the hill for Minnesota.  This is the final meeting of the season between these clubs, with the Royals leading the series, 14-to-3.

>>Reds Romp Cards

(St. Louis, MO)  —  Six runs in the first and three in the second helped the Reds cruise to a 10-0 victory over the Cardinals in the finale of a three-game set at Busch Stadium.  Adam Wainwright was charged with nine runs in two innings as he fell to 15-and-8.  The Cards lead the Pirates by a half-game and Cincy by three-and-a-half games in the NL Central.  The Cards and Bucs start a three-game set tomorrow.

The Nationals nipped the Marlins 4-3 in the middle of a three-game series.
Pittsburgh beat the Brewers 7-1.
The Phillies cruised past the Mets 6-2.

The Blue Jays topped the Yankees 7-2 in the rubber match of a three-game series.

The Red Sox rallied late to pull out a 4-3 win over the Orioles.

The White Sox topped the Astros 6-1 in the rubber match of a three-game series.
The Braves defeated the Indians 3-2.
