Husker Classic the Brookfield girls defeated St. Pius 58-43, The Oak Grove Boys defeated Richmond 50-35 and the Holden Girls beat Lexington 49-37.

College Basketball

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Rashad Ray and Pat Swilling Jr. scored 11 points each last night to lead Tulsa past Missouri State 61-42. Shaquille Harrison added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Golden Hurricane. Missouri State shot just 29 percent from the floor.




KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Several Kansas City Chiefs players attended a memorial for teammate Jovan Belcher. The linebacker killed 22-year-old Kasandra Perkins on Saturday at a Kansas City home before driving to the Chiefs practice facility, where he killed himself in front of team officials. Chiefs Hall of Famer Bobby Bell said after the memorial that general manager Scott Pioli spoke during the service.




NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A person familiar with the deal tells The Associated Press that reliever Randy Choate has agreed to a three-year, $7.5 million contract with the St. Louis Cardinals. The deal is pending a physical. Choate had a 3.03 ERA and no record in 80 games last season.
