SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Keith Pickens had 18 points with seven rebounds and Christian Kirk added 12 points as Missouri State defeated Drake 69-63 on Wednesday night. The Bears (17-8, 7-6 Missouri Valley) outrebounded Drake 35-27 and went 23 of 29 from the foul line. Jarmar Gulley finished with 11 points.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Myles Taylor and Marshun Newell both scored 18 points and Tennessee-Martin defeated Southeast Missouri 79-70 Wednesday night. Southeast Missouri lost its top scorer, Jarekious Bradley, who injured his right knee early in the first half and did not return. Tyler Stone led the Redhawks (13-13, 4-8) with 21 points and 16 rebounds. Langford added 14 points.

JUPITER, Fla. (AP) —At 32, Adam Wainwright is the lone starter older than 27 for the Cardinals, who aim to return to the World Series for the third time in four years. After posting a 19-9 record with a 2.94 ERA and finishing second in the Cy Young voting in 2013, Wainwright is the only starter to know his slot in the rotation. Cardinals pitchers and catchers reported for training camp Wednesday in Jupiter, Fla.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Gregg Williams is returning to the Rams as defensive coordinator for the first time since he lost his job in New Orleans as fallout from the bounty scandal. A news conference introducing Williams will be Thursday. He will replace Tim Walton, who was fired in January after just one season. Williams has led five top-five defenses. He was defensive coordinator for the Saints when he was suspended for the entire 2012 season for the scandal. He was reinstated by the NFL in February 2013 and served as a senior defensive assistant for the Titans last season.

Germany though, holds the top spot with 6 gold medals and 8 total. Some of Thursday’s competitions include the Men’s Individual Biathlon, Ladies Classic Cross-Country, Men’s Curling Qualification, Men’s Figure Skating and Freestyle Skiing.
