The Kansas City Royals beat the Minnesota Twins 4-1 last night to snap a franchise-record 11-game home losing streak. David Lough hit a two-run double and Billy Butler added three hits for the Royals. Josh Willingham plated the Twins’ only run with a single in the first.

Paul Goldschmidt hit his second grand slam in a week last night as the Arizona Diamondbacks routed the St. Louis Cardinals 10-3. Gerardo Parra added a two-run single for the Diamondbacks. Carlos Beltran had two RBIs and Matt Carpenter had four hits for the Cardinals, who dropped back-to-back games for the first time since late April.
