>>Red Sox Win World Series

(Boston, MA)  —  The Boston Red Sox are World Series champions for the eighth time in franchise history.  Shane Victorino hit a three-run double and drove in four runs total as the Red Sox knocked off the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1 in Game Six of the Fall Classic at Fenway Park.  Carlos Beltran drove in the lone run for the Redbirds, who were seeking their 12th title in club history.  Rookie Michael Wacha [[ WAH-kuh ]] allowed all six runs in three-and-two-thirds frames for the loss.

>>Chiefs Continue Prep For Bills

(Kansas City, MO)  —  The Chiefs have three more days until they go for win number-nine.  KC takes its perfect 8-and-0 record on the road to Buffalo Sunday to battle the Bills.  The Chiefs are trying for their first 9-and-0 start since 2003.  They lead Denver by one game atop the AFC West.  Buffalo is last in the AFC East at 3-and-5.

>>Mizzou, KU, K-State Football Saturday

(Undated)  —  Missouri, Kansas and Kansas State all return to the gridiron on Saturday.  The ninth-ranked Tigers are at home against Tennessee.  Mizzou is 7-and-1 overall.  The Jayhawks are on the road at Texas.  KU is 2-and-5 on the season.  The Wildcats host Iowa State.  K-State is 3-and-4 on the season.

>>High School Football Playoffs Start Thursday

High School Football District Playoff action is coming up tonight night on the Grenade 101.3 FM as Carrollton will be at Lawson.  Colby Gordon and Josh Brunscher will have the play-by-play.  The next game on KRLI Country 103.9 will be next Wednesday as Lafayette County-Higginsville will face the winner of tonight’s University Academy Charter and African Centered College Prep Academy.
