In first round action from the Centralia Tournament, the Salisbury girls beat Boonville in a close one 53 to 50.  Sabrina Burris hit the game winner from 35 ft as time expired to win.  Salisbury will take on North Callaway Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Husker Classic:

Girls – St. Pius beat Lexington 51-19
Girls – Holden fell to Brookfield 68-37

Boys – Oak Grove topped Brookfield 68 – 31

The Higginsville girls will take on Richmond Tuesday night.  The Higginsville boys play Lexington, Richmond boys will square off against Brookfield, Odessa boys take on Windsor, and then it’s the Oak Grove girls against Odessa.

The Missouri Valley College men’s basketball team welcomed Haskell Indian Nations University to the Burns Athletic Complex Monday evening.  The Vikings never trailed in registering a 76-63 non-conference victory.  The win improves MVC to 4-9 on the season.

The Missouri Valley College women’s basketball team hit the road to Columbia, Mo. Monday evening to take on non-conference foe Stephens College.  It was a back-and-forth affair between the two teams, but the lady Vikings eventually pulled away with a 64-50 win.  The win moves the Lady Vikings to 4-6 on the season while Stephens falls to 2-6.  Up next the Lady Vikings travel to Point Lookout, Mo. to take on College of the Ozarks Tuesday Dec. 11 at 5:30 p.m.
