(Chicago, IL)  –  The Royals and White Sox will resume their three-game series this afternoon at U.S. Cellular Field.  Ervin Santana is slated to make his Royals debut after being acquired in an offseason trade with the Angels.  Veteran right-hander Jake Peavy takes the mound for Chicago.  KC lost the opener, 1-0.

PHOENIX (AP) — Matt Holliday, Pete Kozma and Jon Jay homered last night in the St. Louis Cardinals’ 6-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Jaime Garcia picked up the win for St. Louis after allowing two hits in five-plus innings. Miguel Montero hit a solo home run for the Diamondbacks.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Missouri freshman guards Negus Webster-Chan and Dominique Bull are transferring, citing concerns about playing time and a desire to play closer to home. Coach Frank Haith says he’d do what he could to help the players relocate. Webster-Chan made six starts early in the season before Jabari Brown became eligible.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — No. 9 seed Wichita State is preparing to face top-seeded Louisville in the Final Four on Saturday night. The Shockers already have won a school-record 30 games, and reached their first Final Four since the 1965 season. They have already knocked off the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in their region.

(Kansas City, MO)  –  The Chiefs offseason program began this week.  Offensive lineman Branden Albert told NFL Network yesterday he wouldn’t report until he has a long-term contract.  Albert signed his franchise tender that was worth just under 10-million-dollars.

(Kansas City, MO)  –  The Chiefs are narrowing down their options for the number-one overall pick in the NFL Draft.  Russ Lande from the National Football Post reported Kansas City is only considering tackles Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher plus linebacker Dion Jordan.  The Draft begins on April 25th.
